REAL BRIDE: Tash & Matt & their Iconic Pulp Fiction first dance...

If you could sum up your day in 3 words with no explanation: Relaxed, Fun, Memorable (& Boozy)

Okay now for the juicy stuff…

Our approach to planning the wedding was… figure out our priorities for the day as a base and plan around that - a destination wedding with amazing food, drinks and live music. We had a budget that we tried to stick to, but we of course went over, though no regrets. It was all worth it (except maybe that $10 Guestbook that didn't get used HA!)

Looking back on the day we are so glad that we… had a live band! They were the absolute highlight for us and the guests - if you're considering one, DO IT! Who cares about a rainy reception when you have killer music and lots of booze! Not often do you have a pumping dance-floor before dinner... incredibly special. Credit to Soda the Band from Newcastle.

The most unexpected part of the day was... just how happy, loving and fun our family and friends were. This seems obvious but we were blown away by how much our people celebrated us and just created the absolute best vibe on the day. We felt so loved, so special and so blessed to have such amazing people around us and cheered us on all night long! Hearing how amazing the night was for our guests has made us so happy and proud.

My inspiration for my hair and make up…

Hair was by beautiful hairdresser Brooke of Kyneur Doll Hair & Beauty. The brief was soft, relaxed curls which Brooke styled perfectly. Note: my hair looked fab for the ceremony, as the day went on the curls dropped due to the rain and wind (we were really fighting the elements!).

Makeup was by Hannah Bond, she's super chill and amazing at what she does. The brief was natural. glowy, bronzed makeup and she nailed it.

When I look back on the day now I feel…. so thankful for how special the day was. So many things didn't go to plan but it absolutely added to how memorable and funny and 'us' our day was - imperfectly perfect. I really wouldn't change anything, and seeing our photos and how happy everyone was the whole day is just beyond. <3

A word of advice to new brides would be… choose a reaaaaally good bridal party. They are worth their weight in gold. We had the best crew - they were supportive, helpful, gave good advice and just were just all round good vibes. We couldn't have gotten through the wedding weekend without our people.

If you're thinking about having your dog/best friend at your wedding - DO IT! Our dog Peach was a last minute attendee due to some attempted escapes from the dog sitter (nothing like a bit of chaos on your wedding morning!) - I am so grateful she was there. We got the most special photos with her that I will cherish forever.

You'll hear this a million times over, but on the day, don't sweat the small stuff - it really doesn't matter. Have the best time of your life, let your dress get dirty, let your veil fall out, belt out songs on the dance-floor - from a usually very uptight person but a surprisingly relaxed bride.

My ASTON Bridal moment was special because… we had the best re-entrance into the reception. Matt & I both disappeared for an outfit change, when we came back to join our guests, there were tequila shots waiting for both of us. We shot them back and then began our first dance (a rendition of the Pulp Fiction diner scene to Chuck Berry!) it was an absolute MOMENT. I felt so fun and fabulous in the Miranda mini. The guests also had a lot of love for the dress!
